Four habits, four friends

A husky, an orange cat, a panda and a green turtle share a shelf in a sunny room. Each one looks after one habit. You log what you did in a tap or two, and they cheer you on.

There's no calorie counting, no weight goal and no judgment. It's meant to feel like checking in with friends, not filling in a form.

Water with the husky

Tap a 100, 200, 300 or 500 ml glass, or type your own amount. You'll see today's total at a glance, you can switch between ml and US fl oz, and any entry can be edited or undone. Gentle drink water reminders are there if you want them. If you don't, they stay off.

Meals with the cat

Log a meal as Healthy or Unhealthy, with an optional note. It's a neutral way to notice your eating habits without counting anything.

Workouts with the panda

A countdown timer for 10, 20, 30 or 60 minutes, for running, walking, cycling, strength, yoga or anything else. The timer keeps going even if you close the app or restart your phone.

Bedtime with the turtle

Tap Good night and all four animals fall asleep. Tap Good morning and the crew wakes up. Habitat records your bedtime and wake time. It doesn't measure sleep quality.

Private by design

Habitat has no ads, nothing to buy, no account and no analytics. It doesn't even ask for internet access, so your data stays on your phone.

You can export everything as a JSON file or delete it all whenever you like. There are also four home screen widgets, one per animal, so you can log without opening the app, and you can hide the totals on them.

Questions

Is Habitat free?

Yes. It's free to download, with no ads and nothing to buy.

Does Habitat tell me how much water to drink?

No. You can set your own optional daily goals in Settings, but the app doesn't give health advice. Habitat is a wellness tracker, not a medical device. For medical advice, talk to a doctor or another healthcare professional.

Does it work offline?

Always. The app doesn't use the internet at all.

Can I move my data to a new phone?

Yes. Export your data as a file from Settings and keep it wherever you like.
